# 18 · 他经常干这种事！

### 第1段

After I had had lunch at a village pub, I looked for my bag. I had left it on a chair beside the door and now it wasn't there! As I was looking for it, the landlord came in. 'Did you have a good meal?" he asked. 'Yes, thank you,' I answered, 'but I can't pay the bill. I haven't got my bag.' The landlord smiled and immediately went out. In a few minutes he returned with my bag and gave it back to me. 'I'm very sorry,' he said. 'My dog had taken it into the garden. He often does this!'

中文理解：我在乡村小酒馆吃过午饭，开始找自己的包。我原先把它放在门旁的椅子上，可现在不见了！ 我正找着，店主走了进来，问：“吃得好吗？” 我回答：“很好，谢谢。可是我付不了账，我的包不见了。” 店主笑了笑，马上出去了。几分钟后，他拿着我的包回来，还给了我。 “真对不起，”他说，“我的狗把它叼到花园里去了。它经常干这种事！”

* **looked for**：寻找；表示寻找过程，不保证最终找到了；找到用 find。

* **beside the door**：在门旁；beside表示在旁边，别与besides此外混淆。

* **have a good meal**：好好吃一顿；meal可指任何一餐，不特指午饭。

* **pay the bill**：结账；bill前一般用the；不用pay for the bill表示付账。

* **In a few minutes**：几分钟后；表示从参照点过多久，不是持续几分钟。

* **gave it back to me**：把它还给了我；代词it置于give和back之间，to引出接收人。

#### After I had had lunch at a village pub, I looked for my bag.

复合句，after 引导时间状语从句，为主谓宾结构，主句亦为主谓宾结构.

\[关键句型] 本课学习have 构成现在完成时和过去完成时的用法，本句的从句中， had had lunch 为过去完成时，第一个had 是构成过去完成时的标识had + done，其中第二个had 是have lunch 中have 的过去分词，正好也是had，所以两个had 在此连用.

#### I had left it on a chair beside the door and now it wasn't there!

并列句，and 连接前后两句，前句为主谓宾结构，后句为主系表结构.

\[关键句型] 前句为过去完成时，had done，这里leave 的过去分词是left，这个left 所在的位置，就是上一句中第二个had 的位置.

#### As I was looking for it, the landlord came in.

复合句，as 引导了时间状语从句，表示自己正在找着，与此同时，老板进来了。主句 the landlord came in 为主谓结构，as 在这里是从属连词，一般用来引导从句，自身不作成分.

#### 'Did you have a good meal?"

简单句，疑问句，主谓宾结构.

#### 'Yes, thank you,' I answered, 'but I can't pay the bill.

简单句，主谓宾结构.

#### I haven't got my bag.'

简单句，主谓宾结构.

\[关键句型] have got 在形式上由 have + got 构成，在这里表达现在的“持有、带着”，相当于 have，而非强调一次已经完成的“得到”。否定形式在 have 后加 not，缩写为 haven’t。

#### The landlord smiled and immediately went out.

并列句，主谓结构.

#### In a few minutes he returned with my bag and gave it back to me.

并列句，前句主谓结构，and 后句为省略了主语he 的主谓宾结构.

后面几句为简单的主系表和主谓宾结构，略.
