* **genetically modified crops**
* **ethical concerns**
* **assess potential risks**

> Applications should be assessed separately because agricultural and human uses raise different questions.

请圈出表达的对象与搭配。迁移时改内容，不把近义词任意替换到同一搭配里。

## 示例段落 · 写作与口语参考

先读懂这段怎样回应问题，再选择词块、双向译练、逻辑链、词伙或句法练习。每次挑一处迁移到自己的内容，不需要一次完成所有模式。

### 参考回答

Governments could support genetic research in agriculture if projects have a clear purpose and are carefully assessed. A project aimed at reducing crop losses, for example, might be worth investigating because more reliable production could benefit farmers and consumers. However, a possible benefit is not enough to justify immediate, unrestricted use. Researchers should assess potential risks, explain the uncertainty and monitor any approved application. Funding should depend on evidence and public oversight, rather than the assumption that every new technology will automatically improve people's lives.

  Careful risk assessment should come before large-scale use.

* **long-term monitoring**：长期监测

  Approved projects may still require long-term monitoring.

* **weigh benefits against risks**：权衡收益与风险

  Decision-makers should weigh benefits against risks for each application.

### 句型语法

* **用情态动词提出有条件的支持**：could 是可以考虑的政策选项，不是已作出的决定；if 后的目的与评估条件限制支持范围。

  原句：Governments could support genetic research in agriculture if projects have a clear purpose and are carefully assessed.

  结构：A could support B if + conditions.

  迁移：A city could support renovation if the project has a clear use and an affordable cost.

  用途明确、成本可负担时，城市可以支持改造项目。

* **表示值得研究而不是立即采用**：might 保留不确定性；be worth 后接动名词 investigating，不接 to investigate。

  原句：A project aimed at reducing crop losses, for example, might be worth investigating because more reliable production could benefit farmers and consumers.

  结构：A might be worth + verb-ing + because + reason.

  迁移：Peer feedback might be worth testing because it gives students more chances to revise.

  同伴反馈值得试试，因为它让学生有更多修改的机会。

* **阻止从可能收益直接推到全面推广**：enough to 指达到支持某行动的程度，not enough 说明证据不足；没有否定潜在好处本身。

  原句：However, a possible benefit is not enough to justify immediate, unrestricted use.

  结构：A possible benefit is not enough to justify + noun/verb-ing.

  迁移：Greater convenience is not enough to justify collecting unnecessary personal data.

  更方便，并不足以成为收集不必要个人数据的理由。

## 最后练一练 · 段落与复盘

Should governments invest in genetic technologies? 选一个用途并给出条件，不编造科学研究。

::: details 打开写作台 · 写一个自己的段落

写两句：第一句提出一个有范围的判断，第二句解释作用机制。写完后检查第二句是否真正解释了第一句，而非重复评价。

写完后，对照上方示例段落，比较它怎样解释观点、加入情境和限定范围。使用may、can、where或for some people等表达时，要说明具体条件。例子可以是假设情境，不编造统计、研究或政策事实。

在复盘中记录你选了什么、舍弃了什么，以及下一次遇到不同问法时怎样重新选择。
