这些早期陆龟在各个岛屿上定居后，不同种群逐渐适应了各自独特的环境，由此演化出了至少14个不同的亚种。

### 为什么这样说

`As` 让变化放在发展过程中，主句给适应行为，`giving rise to` 把结果接上。主句与分词短语构成“变化→后果”，不是两个互不相关的动作。

### 什么场景可以用

讲城市、习惯或技术发展，用 `As` + 背景变化, + 主要变化, `giving rise to` + 结果。先检查结果确实由前述过程带来；一般生活故事也可拆成 `This led to` ...。

保留关系 · 替换内容

> `As 〔时间背景〕, 〔各群体〕 adapted to 〔环境〕, giving rise to 〔结果〕.`

### 从仿写看迁移

取自下方「语法句型仿写」第 1 句，可在那里听原声、跟读。

> As more people moved into the neighbourhood, local shops adapted to their needs, giving rise to new cafés and services.

仿写第 1 句人口迁入后商店调整服务，随之出现新咖啡馆与服务。`giving rise to` 承接的是这种适应与变化过程，不是说 `people` 主动“生出了”咖啡馆。

容易误解的地方

`giving rise to` 后接名词；`rise` 不改成 `raise`。分词的逻辑来源是前面的过程，不一定仅由最近一个名词发出。

先在 `/` 处短暂停顿。重读加粗内容词，虚词只轻轻带过；读到句尾再完整落音。
